And he spent a couple of hours spreading cheer to everyone. Santa arrived at Red Mountain Family Services with a sleigh full of presents for all of the children in our foster care program.
He graciously took pictures with each child and some of the adults too. The children were all so happy with their presents. Our Treatment Coordinators had wishlist conversations with each child and somehow—magically, of course—those special requests found their way to the North Pole. We heard “this is the best Christmas ever” over and over.
It was a fun and chaotic day in the best possible way. Foster parents and even some bio parents joined us to celebrate and help with the unwrapping festivities. Our staff was on hand to play elves, help with presents, help decorate cookies, hand out lunch, laughs and hugs.
With our office packed to capacity, there wasn’t an inch of spare space. And we wouldn’t have changed a single thing.
