Red Mountain Family Services, Inc. was started in November of 2004 with the mission and intent to provide high quality services to children and families. Our office, located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is handicap accessible and serves families in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and the rest of New Mexico. We are a non-profit agency with a board of directors and highly qualified clinical and administrative staff that have a heart for youth and their families.
BIOLOGICAL FAMILY CONNECTIONS
Red Mountain Family Services supports and encourages positive birth family connections and positive cultural and ethnic identity. The birth families are encouraged to participate in treatment planning and decision making as valued members of the treatment team. We have an unwavering commitment to providing an experience that is culturally competent and respectfully embraces cultural diversity. Treatment foster care families actively support and enhance children’s relationships with their parents, siblings and other family members throughout the period of placement regardless of the permanency goal unless such efforts are expressly and legally prohibited.
Red Mountain Family Services, Inc. is a licensed New Mexico Medicaid provider. In addition, Red Mountain Family Services is a New Mexico licensed Child Placement agency. Both of these licensures require annual audits completed by the Children, Youth and Families Department. Red Mountain Family Services continues to pass each audit in ‘good standing’, the highest rating that is given.
Red Mountain Family Services has policies, procedures and regulations that require all staff to follow all New Mexico Standards set forth by the licensing agencies in addition to the New Mexico Children’s Code. Red Mountain Family Services values each individual’s safety and follows all reporting requirements with regard to reporting child and adult abuse.
Red Mountain Family Services, Inc, is a New Mexico non profit corporation 501(c)(3). We provide treatment foster care and outpatient therapy for children and their families. Red Mountain Family Services was formed in 2004 with the mission to provide quality treatment foster care services to children and their families. Our office is in Rio Rancho, which is just north of Albuquerque. Red Mountain Family Services is licensed as a New Mexico Medicaid provider and also as a New Mexico child placement agency. Red Mountain Family Services is in good standing with both regulatory units and in 2010 received a two-year child placement license due to the quality of services rated by the Auditors. Red Mountain Family Services provides services consistent with New Mexico and Federal guidelines promoting safety, permanency, and treatment needs for the children and families we serve.
SERVICES & PROGRAMS
At Red Mountain Family Services, we concentrate on programs where we can make the biggest difference. By limiting ourselves to our areas of expertise we provide the best care to those we serve. No one is ever treated as a number but as an individual with unique needs and a customized treatment plan.
TREATMENT FOSTER CARE PROGRAM
Red Mountain Family Services Treatment Foster Care Program consists of a network of highly trained foster families who provide care to children. These children may have severe, complex, and persistent emotional disabilities, possibly in combination with mental retardation; or they may be in crisis but could be safely stabilized in a therapeutic family setting. Treatment foster care is family-based care. Our standards for Treatment Foster Parents are very high. We believe we have found very talented and dedicated individuals who are motivated to care for children with complex needs. They are highly trained and committed. All of our Treatment Foster Parents have extensive evaluation of their family, including interviews, background checks, home visits, and observations. Our Treatment Foster Parents are required to complete a training curriculum prior to being approved to receive a child into their home. Red Mountain Family Services Treatment Foster parents are trained and supported to implement several key elements of treatment in the context of family and community settings. The role of Treatment Foster Parents is vital, as they provide all of the therapeutic care.
Red Mountain Family Services, Inc. accepts New Mexico Medicaid (New Mexico’s Current Manage Care Company, Presbyterian, Lovelace and Molina Health Care Systems) and commercial insurance plans for all of these services.
