Foster Families Needed
We are recruiting and paying a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for Foster Parents at Red Mountain Family Services, Inc. Treatment Foster Care Program.
We are actively looking for interested families who would like to be trained and licensed to provide Treatment Foster Care to children ages four to nineteen. We are paying a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for our newly licensed Treatment Foster Parents who have had a child in their home for 30 days.*
These children have behavioral health problems and will rely on you in assisting them in changing their behaviors.
* In order to be licensed you must complete the following:
• Criminal Records Checks
• A Home Study
• 40 hours of training
• Be willing to work collaboratively with professionals
• Understand that your home is to be a therapeutic environment for the treatment foster child placed with you

Shout Out—Angelic Chavez
At Red Mountain Family Services we celebrate all young people’s achievements.— and today we applaud Angelic Chavez! Angelic, daughter of Advisory Board volunteer Maria Welch, is a new graduate of eCADEMY High School in Albuquerque. We joined the ceremony at Tingley and continued the celebration at Mario's — and every moment was well deserved. Angelic, we can't wait to see what's next for you!
Hat’s Off to This Year’s Shindig!
For many years, we have celebrated our Treatment Foster Parents and staff during May, Foster Care Month. It is such an honor to work with such dedicated individuals. This was our second year at Paradise Hills Golf Course, and the western theme did not disappoint. The highlight was a Cowboy Hatband Bar where guests picked out a cowboy hat and chose from a wide variety of hatbands to customize their look. Everyone then had their photo taken in their new hat. Adorable boot and hat cookies from our favorite ABQ Sweet Shop, along with brownies and biscochito bars from Fat City Eats, made for a sweet ending to our hamburger lunch.
