Annual July 4th Foster Family Celebration

Annual July 4th Foster Family Celebration

Our annual July 4th party brought together foster children, parents, treatment foster parents, and our staff for a day of patriotic fun and community connection. This beloved tradition celebrates both our nation’s independence and the strong bonds within our foster care family.

The festivities kicked off with a delicious lunch, followed by sweet treats from the ABQ Sweet Shop food truck and refreshing specialty lemonade to beat the summer heat. A great face painter joined us this year. The real excitement began with epic water fights and slip-and-slide action that had everyone laughing and cooling off together.

From splashing and sliding to sharing stories over lunch, our July 4th celebration reminds us that family comes in many forms, and ours is truly worth celebrating.

Chris’ Kitchen Dedication

We dedicated our Kitchen to celebrate the generosity of past Board member Chris Chambers. Chris served as a Board Member of Red Mountain Family Services and was dedicated to serving the children in New Mexico's Foster Care system. Attending the dedication were her husband, children and grandchildren. Also attending were her friends from her church alongside the children and Treatment Foster Families and Staff of Red Mountain. This event took place during our Annual Thanksgiving luncheon.

Thanksgiving Meal

We held our Annual Thanksgiving Meal at our office. This is a time where the children can eat with their bio families. It is important that we keep these relationships strong as it is everyone's desire that children are reunited with their families once the situation is stable for them.
